ConsultSoft's Barcode Creator descriptions

1. Barcode

In this field you enter the information for the barcode which can be numbers or letters, depending on the type of the barcode.

2. Barcode Type

Select your desired barcode type from the pull down combo box's. Some barcode only allow numbers to be encoded (numeric only), others allow characters and numbers (alpha-numeric). All text entered in for the barcode is automatically filtered for invalid characters.

3. Height

The height of your barcode is displayed in the height edit box. You may manually enter in your desired height in this box. You may also adjust the height of your barcode by clicking on the bottom of your barcode and dragging. (much like resizing a window).

4. Width

The width of your barcode is automatically determined based on the barcode type, and the text you wish to encode. Some barcodes are always the same width (UPC's, EAN13 + 8, POSTNET). Others will automatically grow larger as you type text in.

5. Angle

You may rotate barcodes 90, 180, and 270 degrees by selecting the angle from the manu.

6. Title row

You can enter two different titles in two rows over the barcode. Enter any text you want (name of the product, price, description).

7. Font and Size

These two fields change the font and size of the text mentioned above.

8. Printing your Barcode

To print your barcode, simply select "Print" from the main menu (or click on the print button). Barcode Creator will present you with a print dialog you can use to modify how you want your barcode printed

9. Exporting your Barcode

Select "Export Image" from the main menu, or click on the Export button. This will bring the export dialog to front.You can export in different formats.

10. Saving your Barcode

You can save your barcode to a file for loading back into Barcode Creator. This file is only readable by Barcode Creator. Use "Export Barcode Graphic" if you want to load the barcode into another application. When you save your barcode, any label and sequence savings will be stored with your barcode.

11. Options

From this many you can change the size of the workspace ( the print view and the printing format )
